Serve
There are plenty of places to serve. We ask that you consider joining our church and finding a ministry that you can get plugged in. Below you will find a few of the ministries where you can serve. A few of the ministries will require a volunteer form with references. This is to ensure that those who are serving are doing it for the right reasons and also for the safety of those being ministered to.
We are in need of teachers and teacher helpers. The commitment is on Wednesdays from 3:00-5:00 p.m. The ministry director is Tim Fain (pastortim@ortelco.net) and he would be thrilled for others to get involved. Starting in September all those who volunteer for this ministry will need a volunteer form on file with the church.
We have a great group of Jr. Highers that meet on Sunday nights @6p.m. We are always in need of people who are willing to help develop the world-view of Jr. Highers. Ministry director is Tim Fain.
A surprising 60-80% of high school students who went to youth group while attending high school will leave attending church during their college years. We want to see that trend change, at least, in our community. If you want to get involved please contact Tim Fain. Sunday nights @ 6p.m.
Worship Team Ministry
We strive hard to meet the needs of those we are ministering to. The Worship team leads the congregation in Singing every Sunday morning. If you are interested in using your voice for God’s glory then please email the church (dufurcc@ortelco.net) for us to get you information. Director is Esther Wayne.
Fellowship Ministry
This ministry is one that looks after some of the things that our congregation can do in order to build fellowship. Every Sunday we have a cookie and meet time before and after the service. This ministry is not time intensive like the others and you can find little ways to get involved. Please email the church for more information. Director is Evelyn Gibbs.
Outreach Ministry
Do you want to get involved with reaching out to your neighbors? Do you have good ideas that you think will work? Well then please contact us with what you would like to see done and get plugged into this vital ministry. Director is Betty Short.
Education
This includes our Sunday School program. We are always in need of people who think that teaching and training children is of the utmost importance. If you would like to get involved please email the church and we will get you in contact with the director of this ministry: Cindy Johnson.
